Conference Description
This conference will address US policy convergence with Iran and continuing, sharp contention with Iraq. It will examine the transition in the relationship with and within Iran as well as critical policy issues such as the US call for a "road map" defining steps that might be taken toward normalization of relations. Other issues discussed may include the mixed signals of response from Iran, oil sales, regional crisis management, US primary and secondary boycotts and ILSA, missile development, and other problems. The conference will also examine a series of issues in the United States' conflict with Iraq, notably sanctions management and maintenance, relationships with European allies, crisis, and other key concerns.
