This project is a series of off-the-record policy briefings held on Capitol Hill and organized by the Stanley Foundation in partnership with the
Atlantic Council of the United States, the
Middle East Institute, and the
Middle East Policy Council. The briefing series will be focused on US interests in the Persian Gulf region, with a particular emphasis on US relations with Iran.
The briefings will be held during lunch or breakfast for Congressional staffers or members with short, informal presentations by academic and research institute policy analysts, government officials from the Gulf region, and/or US government officials. A summary of the presentations will be issued as a policy brief after each event and will be available on this Web site.
